But what is a xeriscape?? they are gardens that consist of plants which require no supplemental watering. Xeriscape plants work with your particular climate rather than against it. North Americans are the biggest water users in the world, over 300 liters per day, per person! that is unacceptable if you ask me! Think of the water we could save if no one watered their yards!! it is time to take measures to reduce out water usage.

Not only is our song easy to relate to and upbeat, it was created to motivate everyone to make a difference. The Future is today. Instead of focusing on what we can do later on, we should focus on what we can do here and now. We live in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, if we do not try and protect what we have, who will?
Changes we should make that are mentioned in the song:
-Plant trees not only to save our wildlife but to increase the amount of Oxygen available for us to breath
-Smoke and Carbon Dioxide generated through forest fires and factories pollute our air quality, prevent burning and promote renewable energy sources
-Acid rain is a product of the pollutants, to prevent this, prevent wasting reusable materials: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
-The Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico damaged the wildlife in the region permanently, but with the high amount of boat traffic we in BC also have heavily polluted water. Prevent the pollution by not littering. Dispose your waste in proper bins.
-Turn off the lights when you leave a room
-Unplug electronics and your car when you are not using them. Ride a bike!

Living in Canada we can forget how lucky we are. The fact that we have electricity and running water is a blessing. The least we could do is not waste it. Biologically, by preventing further deconstruction of the particles of plastic , we can hope to prevent future degenerative disease caused by micro-particles of plastics working their way up the food chain and into our cell tissue.
IN terms of energy conservation, we could generate a generous amount of electricity by burning a small percentage of the oil attained in contained combustion generators. This energy could be used to fund the demand of energy for the transportation of these materials from the ocean to the processing plants.
Think about it, its ingenious, there is no chance of an oil spill like there is with maneuvering giant tankers through sequences of canals and island passages full of highly toxic oil product, for even if the boat flipped and all the plastic fell into the sea, it would just be a matter of time before it came back to where we\\\'re getting it from. http://www.youtube.com/v/oetOSZYHSXs&rel=019952#13 Song 16-19team mates:
