Okay, you know the basic details right? Invent the Future is an idea contest open to people between the ages of 13 and 24. You can submit an essay or a video that describes in detail, your idea about energy conservation, or sustainable energy creation, a sustainable product, or even a sustainable lifestyle choice. Our crew of judges vote for the best ideas and four people roll-out with $2,500 each. Sweet and simple.

Who can enter?

The contest is divided into two age groups: 13 - 17 years old and 18 – 24 years old. Any BC resident who is at least 13 years of age and no older than 24, is eligible to enter. All ideas must be submitted by November 8, 2009 to be eligible to win.

It is important to note that you can only enter the contest once!

What can I submit?

A video or an essay.

Essay submissions should be between 350- 500 words. Appendices containing background information may be attached to and form part of the submission; however the contest judges are not obligated to consider the material in the appendices when judging the submission.

Video submissions should be between 30 to 60 seconds in length.
